3CG: name of Hanson’s record label, short for 3 Car Garage; also the name of an album released in 1998 (3 Car Garage: The Indie Recordings ’95-’96)

Albertane: the capital of Mars, according to the band; referenced in the song Man From Milwaukee; also the name of Hanson’s 1998 tour during which they recorded Live From Albertane, a live CD, and filmed The Road to Albertane, a documentary following them on tour

Fanson: fan of the amazing band Hanson; often known to be crazy, (physically) pushy, and utterly obsessed

FUTY: From-Us-To-You videos posted on the members side of Hanson.net from Hanson to fan-club members (but accessible by anybody who finds out the URL sneakily); public FUTYs exists as well but are much less entertaining and frequent; pronounced “footy”, as in footy pajamas

Hanson Day: declared in 1997 by Governor Frank Keating of Oklahoma to celebrate the release of Middle of Nowhere on May 6th; continues to be the most important “holiday” in many Fansons’ lives

MOE: can refer to Hanson’s old official fan club and magazine, Middle of Everywhere; the commonly used yet unofficial abbreviation for “members’-only events” such as the series of Hanson Day concerts taking place in Tulsa, OK in May of 2009

MON: common abbreviation for Middle of Nowhere, Hanson’s first major record; released on May 6, 1997 (see also Hanson Day) by Mercury Records; listening to it is a good way to waste your childhood, accoring to Seth Schrage

MONA: common abbreviation for Middle of Nowhere Acoustic, the 2007 DVD of a live acoustic performance commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the release of Middle of Nowhere

SETB: common abbreviation for Strong Enough To Break, the documentary that Hanson released that chronicles their split from the bastards at Island/DefJam Records; available on iTunes as a “docu-series podcast” and YouTube on Hanson’s channel ITZHANSON; also the title of a track off the album Underneath

TTA: common abbreviation for This Time Around, Hanson’s second big-label studio album; also the title track of that album

TTMON: also TT&MON; common abbreviation for Tulsa, Tokyo, and the Middle of Nowhere, a VHS/DVD released by Hanson in 1997 that chronicles their life on tour

TTW: can refer to Taking The Walk, a documentary following Hanson as they made their fourth studio album (The Walk) and beyond, Take The Walk, a coffee table book released in 2008 that chronicles the Take The Walk campaign, or the Take The Walk EP, released in 2008 with the Take The Walk book

TW: abbreviation for Tinted Windows, the supergroup Taylor has joined consisting of himself, James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Adam Schelsinger (Fountains of Wayne), and Bun E. Carlos (Cheap Trick) whose debut album drops April 21st

Twitterpated: the word Isaac stole from Bambi, used in the March 16th Hanson Hotline podcast in reference to the band’s Twitter page

Walk Man: the symbol Hanson used for their album The Walk and subsequent tours (The Walk Tour and The Walk Around The World Tour), seen in the top circle of this picture, which has taken on a meaning of global action for many fans
